Master Title
Effect of different knee angles on quadriceps torque in normal
Master Abstract
The maximum torque a muscle can generate at a joint is one of the most important dimension of its functional capacity and therefor its measurements of importance to physical therapist. Ten males and ten females in the age bracket of 17-25 years participated in this study while assuming a sitting position . the quadriceps torque was computed as a product of the quadriceps force and its moment arm. The quadriceps force was equal to the dynamometery force and moment arm measured from x ray film . The results revealed that the extension torque was directly increased and proportional to the knee angle from 0 to 90 . the peak torque was at 90 degrees p[osaition
