EFFECT OF KINESIO TAPING ON SUBACROMIAL IMPINGEMENT SYNDROME; A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Master Abstract

This systematic review aimed to search the evidence behind the use of kinesio taping (KT) on shoulder subacromial impingement syndrome (SAIS). Only three randomized controlled trials (RCTs) met the study inclusion criteria and were included for qualitative analysis. They used the KT as an intervention method compared to placebo/sham KT in terms of shoulder pain, range of motion (ROM), and function as measuring outcomes. Qualitative Analysis revealed controversy about the effect of KT on SAIS however, tendency to have an immediate and/or short term effect on shoulder pain, ROM, and function was reported.

PHD Abstract

This SR aimed to search the evidence from 3 databases from inception to June 2020 on the effect of ESWT on knee OA . it resulted in 1177 records which were filtered several times according to PRISMA and yielded to 7 studies in which only 5 of them went for quantitative analysis.
